Who Stole What?!?
_Pulled from California Stole My Lover blog...feel free to visit there for more consistent, specific and terrific posts_ - - - - - - - - - - -
Ever since Steph left Wright State University's Urban Planning program (she didn't really enjoy what she was learning) she has desperately desired to get back into school so she could learn some career-specific skills and then go out into the job market to obtain a quality, respected job. While there are aspects of her current job - Assistant Manager/Pricing Coordinator at a local grocery store - that she enjoys, as a whole she doesn't particularly care for it. Completely understandable.
After some time and considerable frustration, Steph took a career assessment test that took into account personality, interests, etc. and among the career options that it spit out was Air Traffic Control. Sounded like an interesting job and the more we looked into it, the more it seemed like a good fit for Steph's goals and personality. We put in some serious research and came to find out that there are only 13 FAA approved Air Traffic Control programs in the country. Without a Des Moines, Iowa or Chicago program, we knew we would have to get creative on which school to pick.
It so happened that there was a Southern California school on the list and as we investigated their program and what their schedule looks like, it looked like a definite possibility. In addition to that, some family friends' said that they would be willing to let Steph stay at their house while she was in school.
Yea...notice that last part? _...let Steph stay at their house..._ The blog title might give it away, but I'll spell it out for you. Steph is going to California and, at least for now, I'm staying here in Iowa. At this point we didn't think it would be a wise decision to just up-and-move to Southern California for a school we've never seen, a program Steph has never tried and an area of the country we have never lived in.
The hope is that this blog will somewhat be a living document of these next few months - the road trip together out west in the car, checking out the Los Angeles area together for five days and then the time apart begins.
Hope you come on back, the adventure has just begun.

Okay. So only one person has cared enough to leave their two cents. How depressing! Especially considering all the trouble I went through posting this in the first place. Well you can leave a comment if you want. It might cheer me up.
Wow, that’s quite a move and change for you guys. I’ll be prayin’ for ya.
