Boris - Pink
When you hear a record which easily breaks your top ten for 2006, explaining why becomes a rather hard-pressed task. I doubt many of you have heard of the Japanese power rock trio *Boris* before, and if you have -- when were you going to inform me about them? Because that's what this band deserves: as much promotion and pass along as possible. Their latest release on the *Southern Lord* (yes, "that":http://www.southernlord.com/lord1.htm Southern Lord) label opens, continues, and finishes strong. It only took six months, but finally someone has stepped up to the bar and shown everyone what rock is supposed to sound like. The eleven tracks of _"Pink"_ are blessed, agressive rock that beats the hell out of the slow rock which so floods the genre currently. Bravo Boris. Bravo.
