Bazan and more…
If you haven't heard much from the Pedro the Lion camp recently, it's cause, well, the band is no more. When David Bazan's writing sidekick TW Walsh (FYI: his pre-PTL solo releases are top notch, check them out) left to pursue other music projects, David decided to hang up the PTL name. But no worries, my friend, as David is still kicking out the jams. "Fewer Moving Parts" is his 'debut' and to no one's surprise David recorded all the music parts on the album in his own studio. If you like his previous work, check out the album. In reality the album is more like an EP's worth of material, as each of the 5 new songs has two versions - full band and acoustic. Worth a listen. eMusic.com has been my good friend recently and blessed me with a variety of solid music. Here's what I have been enjoying recently on the music front: Arctic Monkeys, Beirut, Black Flag, Camera Obscura, Danielson, Death From Above 1979, Decahedron, Early Day Miners, The Editors, Final Fantasy, The Hives, Interpol, Isis, Islands, Josh Rouse, Lifetime, My Brightest Diamond, Neko Case, NOFX, Ratatat, RJD2, Spoon, Tapes 'n Tapes, The Black Keys, The Format, The Mountain Goats, The Roots, The Working Title, Thom Yorke, Tokyo Police Club, TV on the Radio, and Zero 7. I have never been this lucky. This entry was posted on Sunday, September 17, 2006 at 1:37pm. It has been filed under Reviews, Music, Bradley, Lists.
