An Educational Weekend
# Attended a "Bill Mallonee":http://www.billmallonee.com concert Friday night. Save for the fact that the venue also had a DJ party going on the floor upstairs while Bill and his wife sang along in their bluesy, Applachian country rock (how's that for a description!), it was a neat gig. Also the show didn't start til 10:30PM, which meant the concert ended sometime around 1:15AM. # While at said concert I brought along my camera to snag some photos. Now I came expecting horrible lighting, but this was atricious. Even with my ISO cranked to 1600, I was still getting completely blurry images because the light was so low. Basically the only lights the venue had were Christmas lights lined across the "stage area" -- or should I say, "stage corner", or "corner where music was played but in now way resembling a stage except that corner has some carpeting and we did not." So I have no pictures. Sorry about that. # My wife and I celebrated 2 years yesterday. Cheers! # I signed up for a free month of "Blockbuster Online":http://www.blockbuster.com over weekend. Apparently if you order an delicious pizza from "Papa Johns":http://www.papajohns.com online you snag a free month of unlimited rentals. Sweet. I think I'll be canceling my account and ordering a pizza every four weeks. Anyone have any recommendations? # I had a dream last night that someone was reading my blog and actually liked it. Weird. Oh and glad *Nathan* could finally stop by. Call me about Labor Day weekend. Apparently there's some tribal council or American Indian Pow-Wow going on in Harrisburg over that weekend. Sounds like a fun afternoon to me. # Did you know Bill Mallonee is pronounced not like it looks? It's Mallonee like Mel-o-knee, and not Mallonee like mal-o-gna (as in bolgna with mal in front of it). We learn new stuff all the time. # Also Bill released a new album entitled "PermaFrost":http://www.billmallonee.net/music.htm. Tasty. I hope your weekend was as interesting as my was. This entry was posted on Monday, August 21, 2006 at 7:05am. It has been filed under Photography, Music, Concerts, Joshua, Events, Lists.

Okay. So only one person has cared enough to leave their two cents. How depressing! Especially considering all the trouble I went through posting this in the first place. Well you can leave a comment if you want. It might cheer me up.
I must say I rather enjoyed seeing my name on here! Pow-wow in Harrisburg? Sounds interesting to me. Let me talk to my girlfriend and see exactly what she has planned as far as seeing her people so i’ll know what time I actually have. I’ll give a call hopefully tonight.
