A Moment of Silence In The Eye

For anyone living with their head in the sand, allow me to catch you up on the major happenings of our country. Basically we lost the last remant of French colonization in our country. As was the case with the World Trade Towers, New Orleans initially handled Katrina well. It was the post-effects, which are so hard to predict, that has caused the confusion, mass hysteria, and complete destruction of the city. Reports vary as much to 80% of New Orleans being under water. And Mississippi and Alabama aren't exactly doing any better. The Mayor of New Orleans has asked today, Wednesday August 31, to be a day of prayer for the city. So I ask everyone to take a moment of silence today and just offer up a prayer for everyone affected by this disaster, whether they're in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Mississippi, Alabama, or Florida. In this awesome aftermath, pray that the God who has created the sea and the Lord who has calmed them would comfort these hurting souls. I pray they may find comfort within Him.
