A Good Friday
For those who don't keep track of such things, today is in fact "Good Friday":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Good_Friday. Most of you will notice this not by the services you could attend, but the slight inconvience the holiday provides to anyone who was hoping to receive mail or visit their bank in person -- like myself (on both counts). Adding insult to injury is the eighty degree spring weather flirting itself with me as I remain stuck in a studio, working in a building who's air-conditioner must have taken a day off as well. Over the last few years the whole *Easter* weekend was one in retrospect I don't think I fully appreciate as a follower of Christ. As years wore on the meaning of the weekend dulled to me. Another Sunday service with a musical canata and the token resurrection sermon to make everyone feel their new clothes and Easter dinner purchases were not ill-spent. It's a tough spot to be in spiritually. Well tough once you realize something isn't right -- especially when you want to change. And I think that the last few months have been that change I've needed. Habits are hard to break, but with His help and the encouragement of friend and family I'm making progress. I'm reading more (often) and watching less (cable) TV. I think I probably spend too much time on my computer (still), but last night was nice to get out and play tennis with my wife. Those are the things I'm looking forward to a bit more. And after reading "Khoi's":http://www.subtraction.com/archives/2006/0411_the_last_day.php post yesterday on his reasoning of keeping or ridding himself of cable television, I would have to admit that not having a plethora of entertainment to blindly numb myself with has been fairly relaxing. Today is a good day. Be sure to get out and enjoy it.This entry was posted on Friday, April 14, 2006 at 11:27am. It has been filed under Thoughts, Joshua, Events, Religion.

Okay. So only one person has cared enough to leave their two cents. How depressing! Especially considering all the trouble I went through posting this in the first place. Well you can leave a comment if you want. It might cheer me up.
US Bank was open today at 12:30 PM, Tom and I went there to do some withdrawals and deposits.
