A Different Take On Ten Months Without Cable

Similarly to what Josh wrote a week or so ago, I too have become disinterested in television. Not to say that I have gone cold turkey and cut the cord, because my wife and children require certain educational shows for peace of mind (Mostly the Noggin Channel), but really I've mentally seperated myself from the boobtube. I will watch a show here or there with my wife, but I tend to rather listen to a podcast, read a book or surf the web than to sit and become an easy target for forced content. There is an slight advantage to this: time. I can choose how long I want to spend on my content, what type, and pick it up where I left off if I need to get something done. The funny thing is that I always manage to get busy for the two hours I actually would sit down to watch tv (7:00pm-9:00pm on NBC). Oh well, I'm really not missing much.
