7 Things Enjoyed This Weekend
- I finally uploaded about 50 photos to my Flickr Photostream that I’ve been meaning to get to for a while.
- I finished Gone For Soldiers by Jeff Shaara yesterday. A solid historical fiction book about the Mexican War, it allows you to get a different perspective (like all Shaara’s books) into the forming of many of the men who would go on to become great leaders during the Civil War. Men like Lee, Grant, Meade, Longstreet, Beauregard, Jackson, Pickett, Harney, Johnston, and Twiggs. I am just amazed more and more by these people. Some might say that the WWII was the greatest generation ever, and while they might have some valid points concerning the men at that time - it amazes me even in the midst of our nation’s darkest hours, amazing men still rose up and led a splintered country.
- I watched the Hanks/Washington movie Philadelphia finally. Four stars.
- My wife was formerly accepted into the international honor society of education Kappa Delta Pi Sunday. And she has the gear too.
- I finished my business cards for The Makeshift Group Friday.
- I completed updates for Circle Six Magazine.
- Two albums stayed in heavy rotation: David Crowder Band‘s new album, A Collosion Or 3+4=7 and Panic! At The Disco‘s new release A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out. Wow. I think I’ll listen to both again right now.

Yeah. Why wasn’t this flick recommended before? Anyone?

I thought I had mentioned it to you before, but that might have been to my wife. I can’t remember.

I love the fact that we have conversations between each other between posts. It’s like we have no other visitors and fill our commenting void by holding AIM-like conversations. I feel like a bigger man because of it.
