13. Okkervil River
In my continued daily quest to post my Top Twenty of 2005 to you all (as if you care), I present number 13:
Okkervil River
Black Sheep Boy
This early 2005 release blow me away when it was first released this past spring. I seriously think I listened to it at least once a day for the months of April & May. With other releases and the altogether craziness of summer, I sort of forgot about this disc until a friend reminded of it last month, and I once again remembered it’s greatness. If you haven’t listened (or heard) of this amazing group, allow this album to be your introduction. It was for me and I’ve enjoyed the experience thus far. You can hear two tracks off the album here and here.
